Brickworld – Day 3
Day 3 of Brickworld: the first public viewing day. The place was packed – I think the higher-ups said that there was something like 2500 people here not counting the registered folks. The Little Guys cards are almost all gone, and that’s pretty cool too.
Speaking of my film, tonight was the Brickworld movie night, and Josh was cool enough to put Little Guys into the mix. It had a pretty good reception, as did the other films – we also watched Robota and The Magic Portal, two of my favorites, as well as the Cowboy Hat, a very short film but dare I say a classic. The one film tonight that I had never seen was “The Great Disturbance†– a feature-length Star Wars spoof made by a whole group of people several years back. It was really very impressive, with quality writing, quality voice acting, and some quality animation (the surfing part in particular).
On the other hand, I’ve got Revenge of the Sith playing in the background at the moment. It’s the only thing on, and I kind of wish it wasn’t – it’s really a terrible movie. There should never have been a Star Wars film with a lengthy scene involving an elevator not working. Star Wars is kind of a joke now, and I think that’s a shame, considering how much I love the old movies.
