Frequently Asked

Questions

Did you make this?

Yes. Everything you see on this website (except where otherwise noted) was created by David Pagano and/or the Paganomation team.

Do you work for LEGO?

No one at Paganomation is an employee of The LEGO Group. Rather, Paganomation is its own production studio, and The LEGO Group is one of our biggest clients.

Things like the Space Police series, Adventures of Max, and other “official” stop-motion shorts were all created by Paganomation, despite the fact that you might have seen them on LEGO.com.

What frame rate do you use in your videos?

It all depends on what the project calls for. We’ve animated at 12, 15, 24, and 30 fps. Despite what others may say, we don’t believe that “higher frame rate” equals “better animation”.

Where did you get <LEGO piece x>?

Paganomation has been creating LEGO art and animation for nearly 20 years, and David’s LEGO collection goes back almost twice as far.

If you’re looking for specific LEGO bricks and elements, the most obvious place to get them is the online LEGO Pick-a-Brick. Other helpful sources include BrickLink and good ol’ eBay.

Can you give me instructions for <LEGO model x>?

We are currently brainstorming ways to provide instructions for a number of our original LEGO builds! Look out for that in the near future.

In the meantime, you can find instructions for our “PaganoPuppet” design in The LEGO Animation Book.

Can I hire you to make something?

Probably! It depends on our current production schedule. Send us a message on our contact page, and we’ll get back to you ASAP.

Did you stop making videos?

We lost our physical studio location when COVID lockdown happened, making it very difficult for us to take on stop-motion work. We’re hoping to get back to it in the near future.

In the meantime, we’re focusing on digital and live-action projects.

Will you ever sell "Little Guys!" figures again?

Members of the “I AM LITTLE GUYS” tier on our Patreon page can receive buildable “Little Guys!” rewards. (More info on those tiers can be found here.)

As for selling them via an online store? Stay tuned.

Can you give me some tips on how to make my videos better?

Absolutely! Send us a message here.

Will you ever make a sequel to <video x>?

It’s very unlikely that we’ll make sequels to:

  • Client work that we don’t own the rights to
  • Videos featuring licensed characters or IPs
  • Promotional videos for LEGO play themes that haven’t been made in 5+ years

Something like our “Little Guys!” films, though? Hmm…

How can we support your work?

Hey, thanks! You can support us on Patreon or donate via PayPal.

We also accept physical donations, but please send us a message about it first.
